If you are an eligible pensioner and hold a current pensioner concession card or Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card (TPI and War Widow only) you may be able to claim a rebate on your council rates.
You can now apply for a pensioner concession here. You will need to sign up to My Hobsons Bay Hub if you haven’t already, and you will need your pensioner concession card number handy.
Once your pension has been verified, the rebate will be applied to your property’s rates account and is reflected in the total balance outstanding. If you have previously applied for the pension concession and your circumstances have not changed, there is no need to reapply – the rebate will be automatically applied to your rates annually.
If you don’t wish to use My Hobsons Bay Hub, you can download a copy of the Municipal Rates Concession application form (attached) and produce your current entitlement card to apply.
